Plus, "sophistication" is in the eye of the beholder. IMHO, the more subtle Disney shorts are actually the more sophisticated both in tone and presentation than "Hockey Homicide" can ever be. A bunch of hockey fans beating themselves up, funny, yes, but sophisticated??? Why don't you defend the short on it's own merits, instead of relying on knocking down other shorts and people to build this one up.

Also, the soccer-mom comment was unnecessary and mean. It's the people who think it's great that our children are constantly exposed to violence and are deluded that this has absolutely zero negative impact at all and attack those who disagree who are the real extremists and absoluteness.

As for PC, PC is a concept that originated with and is perpetuated by left-wing ivory tower twits who are obsessed with being 'sensitive' to every single possible subset of the human race. It's not a product of the soccer-moms that you so cynically deride.

God forbid that we make clean, positive movies that please soccer moms. No, it's those who can only deal and respond to darkness, sex and violence who are being held "hostage" by their own moral decrepitude.

Jeff, your comments are spot on regarding this sho...

Jeff, your comments are spot on regarding this short. I have always found it to be one of my absolute favorite Goofy sports shorts *because* of the skewed (or is that skewered?) violence rather than in spite of it.
