As a huge Lucas fan, I dug the Indy and Star Tours exhibits and always got a kick out of the backlot stuff. Probably because I'm a film geek. Tower of Terror remains one of my all time favorite attractions.

Yet now when i think about returning to WDW...the park ranks fourth on my must-see list. The whole motor stunt show did nothing for me. The backlot stuff isn't fun anymore and the park seems a bit disjointed now. Sticking a huge sorcerer's hat in front of the Great Movie Ride is part of that odd indirection. Still some great architecture, imagineering and rides. But a lot of lost potential.

Man, I LOVED Disney-MGM Studios from the day it op...

Man, I LOVED Disney-MGM Studios from the day it opened. Maybe it was my youth and a newfound discovery of classic Hollywood...perhaps it had something to do with my burgeoning love for this woman and her prolific knowledge of the filmmaking process...then again, it might have been an appreciation for the Disneyland scale of the thing, which stood in stark contrast to the rest of WDW's bigness.

For years, the place just got better and better. Funkier, less planned, more fickle and prone to the media of the day.
