It is not in any way abandoned; but the area in which the Autopia is located appears to be little used. According to the WD Hometown Museum, the pool is typically open during the summer months; we were there mid-August and the pool was drained and appeared to not have been used recently.Jeffrey Pepperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00990997892044489714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34647587.post-64201926117477798312011-09-06T12:28:10.162-04:002011-09-06T12:28:10.162-04:00Very interesting article. It kind of sounds like it since you mentioned the abandoned pool as well.Rocky Mountain Disniachttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15666798815378098757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34647587.post-45333218408576425022011-09-06T09:02:02.145-04:002011-09-06T09:02:02.145-04:00Popular place; we were there on Friday (which was ...Popular place; we were there on Friday (which was a beautiful albeit hot day). With the museum still a work-in-progress as they indicate, restoring the cars is going to be pretty far down the list of projects. At least they still have them to be restored.Scott Ladewighttp://www.ladewig.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34647587.post-84485949029452448482011-09-05T16:31:07.419-04:002011-09-05T16:31:07.419-04:00We were there on Saturday, also gloomy. They say the original cars plain wore-out, they still have them, but will require extensive restoration at great cost.Kelly Hoffmannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34647587.post-85619269928417983472011-09-05T10:05:11.166-04:002011-09-05T10:05:11.166-04:00Chris,
